Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert center; Bharatpur,Chitwan, Province No.3 is the Government office established under Directorate of Livestock & Fisheries Development in under Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture & Co-operative in 2075 B.S changing its form from DLSO.
The hospital provides affordable veterinary services such as medical tratment and surgery, veterinary microbiology, medical camping, genetic improvement, training for commercial livestock farming, knowledge for production & consuption of livestock products in public, subsidy, pets care, etc.
OBJECTIVE OF WEP HOSTING ORGANIZATION :-
Provides affordable veterinary services to the public.
Do various workshop related to livestock production and Health.
Genetic improvement and research.
Focus on sustainable development and try to make self dependent to maximum farmer.
Focus on commerccial livestock farming.
Starting intensive livestock production and income generating programme.
Develop the knowledge, attitude and skill of farmer.
Promote the livestock production and productivity to remove food security.
Encourage the farmer on commercial farming by providing subsidy
Starting different activities to promote the life style or standard of people.

BACK GROUND OF WEP :-
Work Experience Program (WEP) is the informal job experience that the students should performed to acquire to practical knowledge in the real field during the certain period of time. The technical education is not completed only gaining theoretical knowledge that's why practical work experience is almost necessary to enhance the quantity technical education and to produce skillful qualified and dynamic technicians.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF WEP :-
The objective of the WEP is to make students familiar with/gain firsthand experience of the world of work as well as to provide them an opportunity to gain skill that are newor not covered in the institute. The nature of the training is practical work and theduration will be three months (480 hrs).
AIM OF WEP:-
The education from the theory books is not reliable as the practical knowledge from our day to day life and some practical observation as well as excursion. The learning from practical doing is long lasting than the parrot reading theory. Therefore in the technical sector/part the practical knowledge is better than theoretical one. So to do work in the real field WEP play vital role. WEP develop knowledge, skill, attitude, experience, innovation etc.
To get more practical knowledge and skill for further betterment in the field.
To apply theoretical knowledge into behavioral life.
To do exercise previously about the basic knowledge and skill of technical education.
To develop the personal knowledge and capacity building.
To get dissolved with farmer and become good friends of them.
To identity farmers' need and actual problame.
Share the knowledge and skill among farmer.
Also to learn their knowledge and experience.

3 month work experience program (WEP) begains from 10th-11-2075 to 10th-02-2076 under supervision of Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert center; Bharatpur,Chitwan.

MAIN PROBLEMS OF WEP :-
At first when I join the office, at that time all staffs are unfamiliar. After I'm joining all are introduced. I found all staffs were helpful. In the field level many problems are came but these all problems are solved by counseling with the staffs and also others.

ACHIVEMENTS OF WEP :-
During the three month WEP period I achieve or gain different matters related to Veterinary and the time was really knowledgefful or full of achievement for me. The main achievement achieved from WEP are inlisted and described below :-
FIELD WORK :-
At first time I learn how to talk with the farmer and learn to get dissolved with them.
I learn how to motivate farmer and to assure believe on my points.
PRESCRIPTION WRITING :-
I learn to prepare prescription on the besis of history taken, clinical finding and diagnosis.

Here in the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert center; Bharatpur,Chitwan. I have practiced to administrate drugs in different routs and its merits & demerits with efficiency.

TREATMENT CTVT :-
It's first time to know about the term Canine Transmission Veneral Tumar (CTVT) which is charecterised by hyperbleeding through vagina. Surgery is the best way to treat the case CTVT. From many case history its came to know that administration of Sangini was major cause.

TREATMENT OF MASTITIS :-
In WEP I get chance to observe different types of mastitis in different species and its treatment procedure.

I know only theory about microbiology laboratory techniques before coming in WEP but in WEP I have learn several microbiology lab work including California Mastitis Test (CMT), Milk culture and Antibiotic Sensitive Test (AST).

During this period I have ever look first time the case Atresia Ani. I have no idea about such types of case. By the help of simpal surgery the case is treated / managed.

Record keeping is the very important process in every official work. In WEP I learn how to keep record manually and digitally. And also after lab diagnosis it is very important to provide lab report to diagnosis the disease, for these thing the technician most should have proper knowledge of MS DOS, MS EXEL, INTERNET & OTHERS.

I participate indifferent medical campping and learn how to operate it. It is one of the most complicate process, which should learned by every Veterinarian.

Emergency service should be provided 24 hours all aruond 365 days.
Emergency and General ward should be separate.

Farmer training and awarness program should be provided time to time.
Promote new technology.
CONCLUSION :-
Although the work Experience Program (WEP) period is too short we learn many more things about Veterinary Medicine , sergery, Veterinary Microbiology Lab Work, etc.
We are able to do field as well as official work.
We learn how to diagnosis different disease.
We learn how to handle different cases.
We learn to deal with farmers.
Get various knowledge about practical work in the field. Therefore I'm able to do work in the realfield in future.

Promote new technology.
CONCLUSION :-
Although the work Experience Program (WEP) period is too short we learn many more things about Veterinary Medicine , sergery, Veterinary Microbiology Lab Work, etc.
We are able to do field as well as official work.
We learn how to diagnosis different disease.
We learn how to handle different cases.
We learn to deal with farmers.
Get various knowledge about practical work in the field. Therefore I'm able to do work in the realfield in future.
